Almost finished!! Patted on my back! So, I've been doing GM Diet for 5 days now, you can read the part 1 and part 2. I lost 2.6 kg so far, started from 69.8 kg, getting close to my safe weight 66 kg. My target is 62 kg, my ultimate goal is 57 kg, back to my thinnest weight. Day 6, 12/02/2017 Meat and Vegetable Day. I forgot it was meat and vegetable day, so I haven't bought the groceries yet, because I thought it was rice and vegetable day, turned out that is day 7. So, I used what was in my refrigerator. On GM Diet Day 6, you could eat up to 500 gr meat and any kind of vegetable, except potatoes. Breakfast : Edamame + 1 glass of water + 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar Lunch : 100 gr Salmon + Bowl of Romaine Lettuce + 1 cup of mixed vegetable + Thousand Island Dressing Dinner : 200 gr Sirloin Steak + Bowl of Romaine Lettuce + 1 cup of mixed vegetable + Thousand Island Dressing No worries, I didn't deep fry the salmon, I baked it. Never thought 200 gr Sirloin Steak that I cooked myself, was literally big. Made me wonder of how much the steak that I eat in restaurant usually, the one that said 200 gr, their steak was not big as mine! Thoughts I was not prepared for day 6, so I just made Edamame for my late 10 AM breakfast and eat the lunch on 12 PM, which was a wrong move. In the afternoon, I was hungry, and tempted to eat lemper, an Indonesian snack made from glutinous rice with shredded chicken. Even though, technically, it was meat and rice still allowed on Day 6 (For vegetarian, you could change the meat with brown rice) but it was glutinous. I resist the temptation, and ended up with a large dinner on 6 PM. Day 6 is the only day, that I think more similar with my normal eating days. Day 7, 13/02/2017 Rice, Vegetable and Fruit Juice Day! The Final Day, the last day! I can't still believe it, for 7 days you're on diet, but it felt like a feast day! So for the GM Diet Day 7 or Final Day, you are allowed to eat any vegetables, except potatoes, 2 glass of any fruit juice, and brown rice, up to 2 cup. Another normal eating day, but skipped the meat. Breakfast : a glass of fruit juice + 1 bowl of Edamame Snack : Fruit Juice Lunch : Brown Rice + Kimchi + Sauted Bean Sprout + Sauted Cucumber and Carrot Snack : Fruit Juice Dinner : Bowl of Salad + 1 cup of mixed vegetable + Thousand Island Dressing I made my fruit juice using my Juicepresso, I bought in ACE Hardware. I cut 1 apple, 2 tomatoes, 1 red dragon fruit, 2 small carrots, and 1/2 small papaya, it made 3 glasses of fruit juice. Thoughts After 2 days of meat, it ended up with a healthy choice for a day. I loved today, since we are pushed to closed our GM Diet in healthy way. My final weight on Day 8 Morning is.. These is my final weight, after a breakfast of 150 ml milk and 35 gr K Special, also I've done my morning ritual. I lost another 0.2 kg. My pre GM Diet's weight was 69.8 kg and now 67.0 kg, so I lost 2.8 kg from 7 days GM Diet. Not bad. And I love these diet, since we are not strict to specific meal plan, we could eat whatever we want and how many we want, just strict to the type of food of certain days.
If you want to dine out or eat buffet, like me who like to eat korean or japanese barbecue, just make sure to stick it on Day 5 or Day 6, where you could eat meat up to 500 gr. I will do these again later. Some said you can re do it after a week of normal eating, and some people also said to do it once a month. Good luck, for all of you who will try these diet! Remember, each of our bodies are different. I lost 2.8 kg with these diet, you could do more or less. One last thing, after the diet, I felt the urge to eat more vegetable rather than meat or oily foods. So GM Diet also train my body more into healthy choices than my old habit of junk and oily foods.

I've been doing GM Diet to lose weight. I have lost 1.5 kg, under my expectation to be honest, since people usually lost up to 2 kg after day 3. But probably because I have too much expectation. But keep celebrating! 1.5 kg in 3 day is great too. Day 4 and Day 5 are really interesting to me, since they strict the food into two kinds per day; Banana and Milk, Meat and Tomato. Day 4, 10/02/17 Banana and Milk Day! My normal diet in normal days was following WRP Diet. Drink skim milk in the morning, eat normal at lunch and drink skim milk in the evening. But I always brake the rules in the evening, ended up eating non sense unhealthy food. Anyway, my stomach is trained for having only skim milk in the morning. Have you heard about Banana Diet? I heard it first when I was living in Beijing. Banana Diet is simple, you could eat as many banana you want as breakfast, and that's it, for the rest of the day you eat normal. Banana would fill you up, so it will suppress you hunger and appetite for the rest of the day. That was I heard back then, but now I heard the new banana diet is people eat banana only for 30 days, quite insane. So, I'm really curious about today banana and milk day. In Day 4, you could eat up to 8 bananas and 3 glass of skim milk, that's 2 kinds of food, you are allowed to eat for one day. Breakfast (08 AM) : Coffee Flavor Skim Milk + A glass of Water + 2 tbsp AVC + dash of Cinnamon Snack (11 AM ) : Banana Lunch ( 1 PM ) : Banana + Chocolate Flavor Skim Milk Snack ( 6 PM ) : Banana Evening ( 8 PM ) : Banana I ended up eating up to 4 bananas and 2 glass of milk, because I was busy run errands here and there throughout the day. A little bit hungry in afternoon, because I skip snack, but after got home, I ate my late snack banana and feels good. I wasn't hungry at night, but since it would go bad, I ate one, while the other leftover will be kept in the freezer, for healthy frozen vanilla ice cream. Thoughts Can't you believe, you could survive a day with only 4 bananas and 2 glass of milk. No wonder you gained weight with 3 meals in one day. Day 5, 11/02/2017
Meat and Tomato Day! Not a pretty sight, but the taste is so yummy! I don't like raw tomato, I mean, I don't like eating it directly the whole fruit. I was thinking about juicing it, then I decided to make it into soup. Tomato Soup. So, for GM Diet Day 5, we are allowed to eat up to 500 gr meat and 6 tomatoes. I choose salmon and beef for the meat. Breakfast : 100 gr Salmon + Tomato Soup + A glass of Water + 2 tbsp AVC + dash of Cinnamon Lunch : 200 gr Sirloin Beef + Tomato Soup Dinner : 100 gr Salmon + Tomato Soup Thoughts : Meat Day! And you can eat up to 500 gr meat, that's great! And quite full for entire day, not even snack in between. I thought it will be weird to eat only 2 types of food per day, but it's not! I become really fond of these diet, because of the variety and the thought of eating without worries, where the diet just limit you into types of food per day. And it easier when it times for shopping. Warning! See, my weight on above, it was entering the Danger Zone, getting into 70 kg. My thinnest weight was 57 kg, and was stuck in 62 kg when I busy applied Cabin Crew Job and my brothers wedding, but now OMG I know! Those 69.8 kg was me in full clothes, with my phone, and haven't went to bathroom (excuse!) It's Day 1 Morning Weight. When people started noticing, and lot lots of people started saying in front of your face "Did you gain weight?" And even one my old friend, asked me "How much weight did you gain all these time?" You know you're need to lose those fat belly! I was 66 kg, 6 months a go when my cousin got married. 4 Kg! Just like that. So, now for these week, I tried GM Diet. It's not your General Manager Diet, but I heard it was developed by General Motors, for their employees, to lose weight. Like any diet, they said people tend to lose up to 9 kg. I have read and known these diet for a long time, it was kind of funny, since you basically eat one type of meal per day. Lately, there was a facebook post from an Indonesian Housewife who made GM Meal Plan for her husband went viral here, she made the meal and matched it with Indonesian Food, her husband lost 4 kg, and people started to follow her. When I see her post, wow it was not so bad, I could do that. There's a lot of version of GM Diet; a cabbage soup diet, GM Wonder Soup, etc. There is a version where in Day 5 is Tomato Soup Day with no meat. I don't know which one is the right one. But I choose to follow these GM Diet. Day 1, 07/02/2017 Today is Fruit Day. I love fruits. I even once thought to become fruitarian, people who eat fruits only, Steve Jobs once do it. But when you google it, it actually is not good for your body in a long term, because it lack nutritions, like protein and fat. For me, doing a fruit day is great way to start. GM Diet suggest watermelon, my favorite fruit ever. GM Diet allow you to eat whatever fruit you want, but no banana, and let me add, no Durian also. Durian is the most calories fruit in the world. But if you want to chew durian all day long, it's up to you. I also drink a glass of water with 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar and dash of cinnamon in the morning, and again a glass of water with 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar in the evening, to help lose weight and control my appetite. Morning : 1 Apple + A glass of Water + 2 tbsp AVC + dash of Cinnamon Snack : 1/2 cup Papaya Lunch : 1 Apple + 1 Pear + 1 Orange + 1/2 Cup Watermelon to make it full Snack : 1 Cup Watermelon + 1 Cup Papaya Dinner : 1 Pear + 1 Orange Thoughts: Like any other diet, first day was the hardest, since you change suddenly on your diet. Slightly headache throughout day, can't stop see the clock to see how long til next meal time. Last thing, you peed a lot, since you're intend to drink more to suppress the hunger and eat lot of fruits. I don't feel hungry, but don't like the headache. Later at night, the headache turned into migraine, and I end up threw up my dinner. Since there was not much food to threw up, your stomach and throat tried to pumped out the fiber leftover so hard. Don't know if the migraine related to sudden diet change, it's possible. Day 2, 08/02/17 Vegetable Day! Fake Yay! Breakfast : 1 Cup Edamame + 1 Big Slice of Sweet Potato + A glass of Water + 2 tbsp AVC + dash of Cinnamon Snack : Edamame Lunch : 1/2 Bowl of Roman Lettuce + 1/2 Cup of Mixed Vegetable + 2 Big Slice of Sweet Potato + Kimchi + Thousand Island Dressing Snack : Edamame Dinner : 1 Bowl of Roman Lettuce + 1/2 cup of Mixed Vegetable + Thousand Island Dressing + A glass of Water + 1 tbsp AVC Not a big fan of vegetable. I was confused when planning the grocery list for GM Diet Day 2, then I remember when I was in High School, my everyday dinner was lettuce with mixed vegetable, potato and egg with thousand island dressing. I decided to go back into my old dinner routine, without egg, and exchange potato with sweet potato. I believe GM diet recommend the vegetable to be raw and without dressing, but I ended up using Thousand Island in considerate amount. I prepared one bowl of lettuce, thought about eating it in lunch, but ended getting so fulled, and saved the rest for later. I didn't know that vegetable only can filled me up like these, I was so full and stopped eating. Thoughts I thought Day 2 will be the hardest, since I'm not a big fan of vegetable. I don't know if I do the Day 2 the right way but these is a vegetable that I could eat and prepared. Still got a light headache. People said day 2 is the hardest day but I got through it just fine and not feeling hunger all the time. Right on Day 2 of GM Diet, my period also began. Day 3, 09/02/17
Fruit and Vegetable Day! How pretty the color of my food! Breakfast : 1/2 cup of edamame + 1 Apple + A glass of Water + 2 tbsp AVC + dash of Cinnamon Snack : Papaya Lunch : 1/2 Bowl of Roman Lettuce + 1/4 cup of mixed vegetable +Thousand Island Dressing + Kimchi + Sauted Cabbage Snack : Watermelon Dinner : 1/2 Bowl of Roman Lettuce + 1/4 cup of mixed vegetable + Thousand Island Dressing + Papaya + Watermelon People said Day 3 would become better since your body already adapting to the diet, and I got through Day 1 and 2 just fine. Well the hardest was Day 1 since I got migraine, but no hunger. I still remember the first time I did 3 Day Military Diet was really hard, since I was hungry all the time. In the evening, I was waiting for doctor and accidentally eat a candy. Not hungry at all, feel fine. I ended up eating my fruit stock since it would go bad. Thoughts I could do these, be a vegetarian for a day. Pats on the back for me, since I started GM Diet, they served all my favorite foods at home, and I strained myself, didn't event want to take a bite. Yay! But I forgot about the candy. I haven't weight myself, so I don't know if I already lost weight or not, but hopefully so. |
