I found these on pinterest, long time a go, when I searched recipe for Durian Ice Cream. I can't help but curious what Bacon Ice Cream will taste like. I bought Bacon for months now, and since I didn't have anything to do on new year, it will be my first Ice Cream for 2017. Make Caramel Bacon / Candied Bacon I always cook bacon and thought about is as savory dish. One recipe use 6 slices of bacon and 6 tbsp brown sugar, I use coconut sugar.
Ingredients : (my version, I used less sugar)
Directions :
These was requested by my close friend for her birthday. I made it twice, and both time I forgot to took picture. Ingredients
Directions :
Note I don't use sugar, since it's already sweet enough for my friend. But if you want, you can add 2 tbsp sugar. I belong to half population who don't like Durian. The first time I met and know Durian, I close my door directly and the first time I tried the king of fruit, I actually vomit. Durian came up during the conversation with my Aunt and cousins, and surprise surprise they sent me one kilo of durian, that my family don't dare to touch. So when life give you durian, let's made ice cream. I made it without egg and coconut milk, it's healthier for my sister in law. Ingredients :
I always thought vanilla ice cream is basic ice cream flavor, but actually is not. Today, I share my gotta-go basic recipe ice cream. I used these for all of my ice cream, just add flavor into it.
Ingredients :
Directions :
Note : To made these as vanilla ice cream, just add 1 vanilla bean (scraped and put the vanilla bean also) in the milk mixture while it was heated. You can use substitution 2 tsp of vanilla extract, but i recommend to use the real vanilla bean, it's taste lot better. You can adjust the amount of sugar. For my family, 1/3 cup sugar is sweet enough. If I go military diet, I will adjust the sugar to 1/4 cup. Once, I tried to make it with no sugar, it's not really worked. The taste was too plain milk, I ended up eat it with chocolate chip. I love ice cream, it became my obsession and passion. I claimed myself an ice cream junkie. My dream is open up my own ice cream parlor. So I decided to start learn to make it from scratch. It was started when I bought my first (and only, for now) ice cream machine.
While searching, I'm in love with Delonghi ICK6000. I choose the big machine who don't need us to freeze the bowl the night before, and I live in humid tropical country, the ice cream easy to melt in here. When I decided to purchase, the store didn't have the stock available. Didn't want to go home empty-handed, I decided to buy my other obsession, Cuisinart ICE-100. And the rest is history. I made ice cream for once a week. And now, my freezer always had ice cream, like flavor of the week ice cream. The good thing of making your own ice cream is you can adjust how much sugar you put in, or how chocolaty you want your ice cream to be. I made the most chocolaty ice cream I ever taste. But also since you still learning, you got the upside down of bad taste if you don't succeed or you screwed up the recipe. The recipe I shared could be taste different for your taste bud, since I used the ingredients from Indonesia (my country). I found some US recipes are too sweet for me, so I cut the sugar in half. |
