Have you ever heard 3 days military diet? The first time I knew these diet was on Pinterest. And the one that attracts me more is these diet allow you to eat vanilla ice cream for dinner. I just like how that sounds. I did these diet several times, even though they said we will lose 5-8 pounds but I did not. That didn't made me stop to re-do these diet, because I like how they give me schedule what foods that I need to eat for three days, I don't feel wrong or cheat for 3 days. The first time I did it, I lost about 1 kilogram. But after that, the diet not really effective for me, maybe because I'm gluten - sensitive. If I eat too much gluten, my stomach become constipated. And these diet have gluten everyday. Pro :

My godfather ( heard like a badass ) just passed away Last Saturday. He was my uncle technically, but according Chinese tradition, I was "given" to my aunt and uncle as their kid, to avoid bad luck since my mother and I are not compatible according to Chinese Zodiacs. When family get together, the first thing we were discussed was how did it happened. One particular topic, my cousin said that her father were seen talking to my Grandfather's (His father in-law) picture and said "He really looked like Uncle Sin" . That made me question are really our dead relative came to greet us when we're dying? That's not the first time it was happened. I was in high school when my grandmother passed away because of old age. She was dying in our home. Her funeral was my first family funeral I attended to. When she was weak and dying, she kept asking "when she was going to be pick up" , "where are we going?" we were confused and ask for my aunts to come and speak to her because noone going anywhere. My grandma said that her child will pick her up, but didn't say who. She passed away on Saturday. Another Chinese tradition, said when people die on Saturday, they will take someone to go with. You can believe it or not. My aunt just tell me yesterday, that my grandma pick her sister . Not long after she passed away, her sister was heard talking to herself. And when she was asked who she was talking with, she said her older sister who is my grandma. *spooky* When my oldest brother was admitted to hospital, we thought he had hallucination said that some people come to get him and please made them leave. The last time I visited him at hospital, he was so happy because he just met his son after months at hospital. He was begging to met his son for a week, because the rules not allowing children to visit. On his physiotherapy, my sis-in-law brought their son to meet my brother. The day after that,my brother passed away in his sleep.
On the same time, my father was admitted at the same hospital for dengue and gastric problem. After knew my brother passed away, his health was declined. He even got admitted in ICU for several days, because his lungs suddenly got liquid in it, and his heart weakened. Those two weeks are still the hardest time in my family. One year after, my Dad told me when he was in ICU, he dreamed about my brother asked my Dad to leave with him, but my Dad declined saying he will take care my brother's son. After that dream, his health was getting better. He laughed about it, telling me. It could be coincidence, it could be not. I read it somewhere, it was actually the brain lacked of oxygen when dying, that made the hallucination of dead relatives come to take them. True or not, these several experience made me believe it a bit. Update (09/09/2016) My family lost another family member, and it's Uncle Sin. In above, I said that my godfather or technically uncle died on Saturday. In Chinese tradition, it was believed when someone died on Saturday, it will bring along others, could be family or someone close to. Before died, He said from out of nowhere that his father-in-law (my grandfather) looked like Uncle Sin (my other uncle or in his side, his brother-in-law). Nearly two weeks after his passing, Uncle Sin died suddenly from heart attack. Believe it or coincidence. Since Wednesday, my brother has been admitted to hospital because of dengue. It made me think two of my friends who got "hospital phobia", they hate hospital because it got unpleasant smell and negative aura. They become those person who prefer home remedies than visitation to doctor.
I have my own share of "hospital experience". And for these past two years, you can said that I regularly visit hospital for several occasions. I know my way around hospital, and knew some people there. Not just one, i think I visit 5 hospitals these two years. Even-though I have some bad experiences in hospital, but it don't change my point of view that hospital is not a scary place to be. My friend said that hospital is bad for them, because you're going to hospital because of something bad happened, like diseases or visit someone who sick. Hospital can be a place where your new child/niece/nephew are born, that could be a happy memory. That's why Grey's Anatomy is such a good drama. Hospital filled full of it, everyone got their own drama. I remember I sat while waiting for my eldest brother in the same room where a group of people waiting excitedly for a baby to be born, while there was a wife who can't stop crying because her husband got into accident. If you think that maybe because I don't have bad experiences in hospital, believe me I have, that's another stories to tell. I admitted to the hospital once when i was in high school, I have terrible fall doing sport, I had bone fracture operation. I'm not saying hospital is my happy place, but you don't have to be scared or even phobia about it. |
