Actually I've been doing these for three months, since I turned 30th, but not all 10 steps. I buy all 10 products one by one, because it would crash my skincare budget if I bought all 10 products in one month. So, I learn by steps, add another step when I purchased another products. I will divide all 10 steps into 3 blog post to get it more thorough. Before I started following these korean skin care steps, I belonged to those simple groups, wash it and sun screen it. That's it. Simpler Time. But now, I can't think of skip, now that I get used to follow all steps. All my three cleansers are from Neogen Dermalogy. The one that made me fall in love with Neogen is their Foam Cleanser, but I bought the Cleansing Stick first, then bought the other two. I could pick green tea as well for my exfoliator, but can't help but choose wine, I want my face drink wine literally. Before start all those steps, there are step zero, and that is washing your hands. You don't want to apply all the goodness with your dirty hands. Clean your hands, girls! 1. Make Up Remover + Oil Cleanser Always clean your make up no matter how tired you are. But admit it, sometimes I slept with it. You can clean the make up regularly with your base make up remover first. Oil cleanser are made to clean your make up and created especially to clean our natural face sebum. The fact is, you can't clean your natural oil with water based cleanser, you need to clean it with oil. I have two different kinds of Oil Based Cleanser, for different reasons. Never thought how bad my skin need oil cleanser until tried it myself. First, Green Tea Cleansing Stick from Neogen. It is the first Korean Skin Care Products that I bought. I choose Cleansing Stick for the convenience reason, you don't need mini scoop, because admit it, the scoop can be gone and you would use your dirty hands to get your cleanser cream, in the end, it will get dirty. Second, it's not spilled easily, you can bring it along for travel. Since it almost finished, now cleansing stick belonged to my gym bag. Second, Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil from The Face Shop. I fell in love the second I use it. Not because it was clear pink cleanser, but it also because the smell. Loveee it. There are many kinds of oil cleanser with many brands. I'm still open to try different brands, for next time. 2. Water Based Cleanser It's your ordinary face wash that commonly used. I know Neogen from youtube, and their foam cleanser is the first one that stole my attention. It's foamy and you can see the green tea leaf on the bottom. Neogen's Green Tea Foam Cleanser have PH 7, which is great for our acidic face's skin. For alternatives, I have my Hada Labo's Face Wash for my gym bag. Before all these korean products, Hada Labo is my go to products, and still. It's affordable and easily find. 3. Exfoliator (Weekly) Basically it's your face scrub, products that you used to remove dead skin cell. Before, I used my Masker Bengkoang Mustika Ratu, it's Indonesia's Cream Mask Products. My friend recommend The Skin Food's Black Sugar Scrub that worked wonderfully in her skin. But then, I finally choose Neogen's Bio Peel, and I choose the wine one, because... just because it's wine. It consist 30 textured pads, soaked with all the goodness, that can remove your dead skin cells easily, leaving skin smooth and fresh. For me, it was looked like you put sweet grape juice all over your face. Cleaning is essential for your skin, and it's the basic steps to get clear bright skin. I thought double cleansing is just too much, but now I can't skip these steps at all. After double cleansing, your skins really feel freshed and bright, all that dirts and oils are gone. I'm still open to try other products, other brands. But these are the products that I used everyday for now. Special Shout Out
If you want local / Indonesian version of these skin cares, I'm actually curious about Kohvee Story, they have a line of face products, including cleansing oil, face scrub, and sun screen. And like their names, all of the products's main ingredient is coffee.
