First time I saw these cake, I think it was in Masterchef US Season 6, where there was birthday cake challenge and Tosi gave the contestant a look of her famous birthday cake or it was an event of group challenge. But what I remember was how cute it was look. It's colorful and fun, I love all about it. I bought sprinkles and started to make a simple funfetti dish like pancake and waffle. I made a whole cake once, it was my mother's birthday and I made a simple fruit cake used whipped cream. And after years baking absence, I think these cake is my comeback. The other reason I choose these cake is you don't need skills to decorate it. It was simple and easy. Note : Christina Tosi emphasize to use clear vanilla extract, since in Indonesia, clear vanilla extract is uncommon, I use regular vanilla extract. That's why the cake a little bit yellowish. First thing I did was made the crumbs. For us, the crumbs are way too sweet, I think to cut the sugar in half for next time. But these are the original recipes.
